MEDICAL SERVICES
Dispensary – following facilities are made available to the needy and poor people for the treatment of diseases at our charitable dispensary with nominal fee charges taken as a token.
O.P.D. Attended by permanently appointed M.B.B.S Doctor.
Visiting Eye & Dental Specialists.
Bio-monthly eye-camp with free operation facility(in co-operation with Shivananda Mission, Virnagar).
Well equipped physiotherapy center, Diagnostic laboratory and X-Ray facilities.
Conducting medical campus with major and minor operation facilities, to benefit all sections of the poorer masses suffering from various ailments.
Acurpressure treatment.
LIBRARY
Well equipped library with varieties of books on education, religion, philosophy, history along with Ramakrishna-Vivekanada and Vedanta literature is open for all with free-reading room facility.
Children section well euipped with storybooks, comics, books on general knowledge and furniture suitable for children.
Library remains open from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
WELFARE
Monthly grains supply to about 50 poor families. We also distribute tarpaulins, blankets, woolen clothes, and old garments to the needy and poor people.
Daily drinking water is supplied to number of families regularly and during summer time when water scarcity increases we extend our water relief to the larger number of families.
RELIEF AND REHABILATATION
At the time of natural calamities like flood, cyclone drought etc. we distribute food grains, clothes, utensils, and other necessary items to the affected families.
During devastating earthquake we did primary relief for the people of Limbdi and surrounding villages.
We have also conducted rehabilitation project covering construction of 24 school buildings in Limbdi and nearby villages.
WATER CONSERVATION PROJECT
This area frequently suffers from drought and is recognized as a drought prone area by Govt. of Gujarat. To over come this water scarcity in rural area, we have dug many ponds in different villages to increase water retention capacity. This project enables poor villages to get water supply throughout the year.
EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL
Free distribution of school uniforms, note books & other stationary items among needy and poor students.
Youth day celebration by conducting various competitions like recitation, elocution, essay writing, fancy dress & music etc.
Arranging lectures by renowned educationalists and intellectuals for the benefit of teachers & students.
Organizing youth development programmes in the Ashrama Campus as well as in other parts of Limbdi and nearby.
SPIRITUAL AND DEVOTIONAL
Ashrama has a small beautiful prayer hall, which can meet the spiritual needs of the surrounding people.
Regular religious discourses are held usually after evening aratrik-stava.
Regular Puja, arati, prayers and bhajans are conducted daily in the prayer hall.
Ramanam and special bhajans on every Ekadasi-day.
Celebrating birth-days/tithi-pujas of Shri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other prophets of different faiths.
Celebrating Jagadhatri-Puja, Janmashtami, Guru-Purnima, Christmans-eve and other religious festivals.
Arranging lectures & cultutral programmes to spread spiritual ideas of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda in nearby areas.
To arrange book-stalls on various occasion at different places to spread Ramakrishna-Vivekananda and Vedanta literature.
To arrange initiations and spiritual guidance for Religious seekers and devotees by arranging visits of Rev. President, Vice-President and other senior monks of the order.
MAINTAINING VIVEKANANDA MEMORIAL
The towers bunglow of Limbdi was sanctified by the presence of Swami Vivekananda in 1891. Now pictorial Exhibition depicting life of Swami Vivekananda & his teaching is set up here for the benefit of people.
A prayer hall with a marble statue of Shri Ramakrishna is maintained for meditation and prayers with regular evening arati service daily.
Coaching classes for class 10 students are also conducted here.
PLANTATION
We have planted 5000 to 7000 tress in rural and urban area of Limbdi.
We encourage plantation activity in rural area by organizing functions regarding Plantation awareness – VANAMAHOTSAV.
Under this project we have already disturbuted 1000 fence cages to project plants from cattle and continue nurturing them through the local people.
